Droves of Daft Punk fans were left disappointed after a facebook group offering details for a secret concert in Shanghai was exposed as a scam. The facebook group, directing interested browsers to a third-party website selling tickets for 500 Yuan each ($73), explained ticket holders would be phoned on the date of the concert and told of the venue. It is still unclear as to how many ticket were purchased.

Speaking to Shanghai Times on the matter, Daft Punk’s agent Peter Elliott explained that the duo, who picked up two Grammy’s this week, ‘are very upset’,” and that the band had no plans for touring in 2009, but might perform in China during their next world tour in 2010 or 2011.

The Daft Punk duo earlier in the week picked up Grammy’s for Best Electronic Album with Alive 2007 and Best Dance Single for Harder, Better, Stronger, Faster.
