Americana/rock singer-songwriter Amy Speace was also part of Joe’s Pub 10th Anniversary Gala in tribute to Judy Collins last October as well as contributing the title track to ‘Born To The Breed – A Tribute to Judy Collins, Vol. I’ that also featured legends such as Dolly Parton, Rufus Wainwright, Shawn Colvin, Chrissie Hynde, and Leonard Cohen to name a few.

About Amy Speace

The Jersey City based songwriter is already receiving widespread critical acclaim for her sophomore release The Killer In Me which mines the mystery and heartbreak of relationships gone wrong — and right and wrong again. Killer In Me, recorded with James Mastro (Robert Plant, Ian Hunter) and Mitch Easter (R.E.M., Let’s Active), forges deeper and darker lyrical and musical terrain than her 2006 genre-hopping Americana breakthrough Songs For Bright Street, which earned Speace high praise in the US and Europe where she toured and shared the stage with Judy Collins, Nancy Griffith, Ian Hunter and Little Feat. NYC’s top AAA/folk radio station WFUV named her to its “Top 16 Artists To Watch” list this year and Judy Collins has said “Amy’s a remarkable artist, writer and singer-I am a total fan.”

In just eleven seasons since its debut in the spring of 1998, the Lyric Chamber Music Society is recognized by musicians, the press, and audiences as one of the preeminent chamber music organizations in the country. Founded to present the works of the giants of the past and present, the Lyric performs masterpieces of chamber music literature and unusual repertoire in the intimate salon of an elegant Fifth Avenue mansion and at Victor Borge Hall — giving the music the personal ambience in which it was intended to be heard.
