Tuesday 31st March marks the release of “It’s Blitz” – the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s third, and so far warmly-received, album.

With a sharp disco edge to the new album, Karen O and co. have kept the New York sound fresh – in line with the rise of ‘nu-disco’ which has taken over the trendy clubs across Manhattan and beyond. The critics, tripping over themselves with praise have already described the LP as ‘a heartfelt love letter to the transcendent possibilities of the dance floor’ (NME) and ‘the alternative pop album of the decade.’ (Q).

Despite rumours of trouble within the band after the 2006 release of ‘Gold Lion’, the band appear to be as cohesive as ever, and back on form, as the plan to play a string of festival and gig dates throughout the summer.
