HEARTBREAK, LOSS, AND HOPE FUEL THE FIRE OF PETER KELLY’S NEW EP, FOREVER, AGAIN

FEBRUARY 25, 2012 (New York, NY) – Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Peter Kelly has released a new 6 song EP of guitar based pop/rock entitled Forever, Again. Loss of love and of a lifelong friend inspired this moving collection of songs that were written and performed almost completely by the Berklee College of Music graduate. Kelly teamed up with producer John Campos and spent 6 months molding and polishing what he calls “the greatest achievement of his career.” While maintaining a traditional singer/songwriter flavor, the songs soar to new sonic heights with musical arrangements inspired by everyone from Billy Joel and the Beatles, to Coldplay and Pink. Peter Kelly’s Forever, Again is available on his official website, www.peterkellymusic.com, as well as iTunes and Amazon.

The songs on Forever, Again speak straight to heart of every person who is trying to rebuild their sense of self after experiencing loss or heartbreak. In the pulsing song He Says, She Says, Kelly describes the fighting in a failing relationship while in the uplifting title track (Forever, Again) he states, “If happily ever after could ever come after the end, then we’ll be together forever again.” The pain of losing a close friend and the guilt of missing his last chance to see her is the theme of the “John Mayer meets Coldplay” sounding May Flowers. The edgier I’ll Be Late and the ethereal ballad Oz show the artist in “take stock and rebuild” mode. The EP closes with Maybe, a haunting ballad about loneliness featuring Kelly on piano instead of guitar in which he states, “Maybe it’s me, or maybe I just don’t like what I see lately, maybe the world don’t like me.”

Peter Kelly is from Yorktown Heights, NY and currently lives in Yonkers, NY. He began playing guitar at the age of 10 and was recruited by his first band at 13. After graduating Martin County High School in Stuart, FL (where his family relocated) he moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. He returned to the New York City area after graduating and spent time fronting his original band Hemenway and playing guitar for Shannon (known for her 80’s hits Let the Music Play and Give Me Tonight). Peter Kelly has dedicated his life to making music that touches the lives of his listeners. On his debut solo EP, Forever, Again, he uses spot on musicality, emotionally charged words, and dynamic performances to tell stories that everyone can relate and respond to.
